About me
I am a neurodivergent, LGBTQ+ cognitive behavioural psychotherapist.
I have worked in mental health services using CBT since 2016, and have worked with adults from different backgrounds and with a range of difficulties. I have worked in different capacities, both as a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist and as a supervisor to clinical doctorate students and high intensity trainees in outpatient NHS talking therapy services.
In my NHS roles I have delivered training to staff and contributed to the development of LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent friendly services via my work in the working groups.
I have also worked on a specialist OCD and BDD inpatient ward, providing exposure and response prevention and CBT in the treatment of OCD and related disorders.
During my time as a therapist I have taken a special interest in both LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent mental health. As an LGBTQ neurodivergent person myself I understand how important it is for therapy to be adapted to make it more accessible. I take an affirmative approach in my therapy - adapting the approach to the person, rather than making the person fit the approach.
Please go onto the therapy tab for more information about the types of problems I work with and the approaches I use.
